I used Lemi Shine for the first time today. I wish I had found this product sooner!! I moved in May and went from treated city water to country well water which of course leaves lots of deposits. I have a set of acrylic tumblers that are used daily, and as a result of daily runs through the dishwasher, they had developed the yucky, white residue. I've tried washing them by hand, but of course, that doesn't work either. Yesterday, I was on a mission to find something to run through the dishwasher in hopes of getting everything a bit cleaner. I found the Lemi Shine on the shelf next to the other brands and started comparing. I liked the fact that the Lemi Shine is not a one time use product as are the others. I must admit I was skeptical because it was the cheapest product on the shelf. I decided to try it, in part because it was labeled with a satisfaction guarantee. I figured I didn't have anything to lose. Well, I must tell you, I lost nothing, and Lemi Shine has gained a loyal customer. I will continue to use this product, not only in my dishwasher but around the house as well. After one dishwashing, the acrylic glasses that I was afraid were doomed are sparkling clean!!! I couldn't believe it. I also had a stainless steel saucepan in the dishwasher, and that is so clean it almost sparkles. As I said, I wish I had found this product much sooner. I will tell everyone I know who has a problem with hard water about Lemi Shine, and I will continue to use it faithfully in my dishwasher as well as other areas of my home. I'm also impressed that this is an environmentally friendly product.
I have lived in my house since 1991 and have never had hard water like I have now. It ruins everything. Until I found "Lemi Shine," my glasses always looked like they were frosted. They were actually "clear" glass. There are so many products on the market that claim to work. Well, Lemi Shine is probably the only product that I have found that works exactly the way you say it does. I LOVE this product. Everyone with hard water NEEDS this product. When I take my glasses out of the dishwasher now, they actually sparkle, and they dont have a residue on them like they had before I found Lemi Shine. I would have to wipe the glasses with a paper towel before I put them away. I cant say enough about Lemi Shine. Because there are so many products on the market that disappoint you when you try them, when you find one that WORKS!, you have to share the news. I do have one problem. I shop mostly at Wal-Mart, and this week they were out of Lemi Shine; so, I have not run my dishwasher from Christmas yet. I may need to shop at Publix, Winn Dixie, or Sweerbay grocery store today if Walmart is still out. I NEED to find Lemi Shine today. I am going to buy more than one at a time and not wait until I'm out to buy some more.
We have lived in our house 12 years and are on our fourth dishwasher. We have well water, and it creates orange stains on everything. I began to have an odor coming from the dishwasher to the point that I was afraid to put the dishes in it for fear there was some sort of bacteria on dishes after they washed. I started to investigate the cause of the odor. The dishwasher had always been orange on the inside, but I discovered a build up of detergent on the interior walls. I began to scrape the sides of the dishwasher with a single edge razor blade, and the buildup began coming off in strips. It was a very time consuming and nasty procedure. At that point I quit using the dishwasher and started looking in the sales paper for a replacement. A couple of days later I was in Publix and looked in the dishwasher section to see if anything in there could help me, and I found Lemi Shine on sale for $3.29. I figured even if it did not work, I had only lost $3.29, and if it did, I saved myself a few hundred on a new appliance. I had tried everything imaginable on the dishwasher and nothing had ever worked, so I did not have high hopes. The first time I used Lemi Shine, I noticed a marked difference. At that point I was just using it in an empty machine because I was scared to use dishes after they went through MY dishwasher! I continued to supplement the cleaning transformation by scraping away the build up with a razor blade and now I have an almost white inside dishwasher again!!! I have only been using Lemi Shine for a short while and am now able to use my dishwasher again which is great because I hate to wash dishes. I also had numerous dishes that were stained, and they are beginning to look normal again. I have never had a product with which I have been so pleased, and I would recommend it to anyone with a dishwasher. Failure to use Lemi Shine has cost me hundreds of dollars on replacement dishwashers and dishes. I just wish I had found it about three dishwashers ago. Thank you for saving my appliance!
We moved into a new house over three years ago, and we have really hard water. It was impossible to get the dishes truly clean. I hate to handwash dishes [just ask my mom :); so, I tried every product I could find. Nothing worked, none of the rinses, nothing. Then, one day I saw Lemi Shine on the shelf at Wal-Mart. I had no idea what it was, but when I saw "The Hard Water Expert!" on the container, I knew I at least had to try it. I'm certainly glad I did! I try to never wash a load of dishes without Lemi Shine now. If we happen to be out, it's obvious. I usually buy two at a time just to be safe. This is a fantastic product. I'm so glad I happened to see it on the shelf that day. :)
Our water is extremely hard. My glassware never looked clean. Every so often I would have to soak all my glassware, plates, baking dishes, etc, in vinegar to try to remove the foggy residue. After talking to a friend about this(and replacing a dishwasher!), she told me to try Lemi Shine. Boy, am I glad she did! After just one use, I could tell an immediate difference.
