I hated my dishwasher!!! We have rusty well water, and over time my dishwasher and all my dishes had a rusy tint to them, not to mention all the spots on my glasses. I was ready to throw away my glasses because of hard water spots. A friend does that and replaces them with new ones! I hate handwashing dishes! I didn't like that I had to hand wash dishes as a child every other night as part of my chores, and I detested it even worse when it was my day to wash when it was Sunday because we always had company and more dishes. Fast forward 15 years...I was engaged to get married, and my husband-to-be had a dishwasher but didn't like using it. We came to an agreement...If I do the dishes they get done in the dishwasher, and if he wants to handle the dishes he can do whatever he wants. Within 4 months of regular use of the dishwasher it was turning orange; the dishes weren't very clean; and I was becoming unhappy as the thought of having to handwash those dishes began to swim in my head. I just moved into a new house which has very hard water. My old home had a water softener that we had nothing but problems with, so I was reluctant to purchase another one.
