Tell us a little about yourself.
First of all, I am a child of Christ. I was born in Shreveport Louisiana and moved to Garden City Texas with my parents at the age of 10. I was very active in sports and even won a basketball award for “Most Valuable Player” as a junior in High School, pretty good for a girl that was 5’1”, even if I do say so myself! I met my husband, Steven when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore. I was a cheerleader and he was the quarterback for the football team. We married about a year and a half after I graduated and have been married for 39 yrs.! We were cotton farmers for twenty three years in St. Lawrence Texas and decided that there was something more we needed in life, so my husband went back to college and I worked until he got his degree. We have two beautiful children, Christie and Cody and I have four grandchildren; Hayden, Kason, Tanner and Hannah. I decided that I wanted to be in an environment that was more Christ and family oriented and where I felt that I was doing something more worthwhile for the world. I was offered the opportunity at Envirocon and here I am! My husband has been employed at Midland Memorial Hospital for over 10 yrs. now, as a radiographer supervisor. Our daughter Christie followed her father in to radiology and Cody buys and sells airplanes in Georgetown, TX. He also produces a TV show called Veteran Outdoors where they take wounded veterans on surprise hunting or fishing trips of a lifetime! Our whole family has joined in on his mission, our motto is “Giving back to those who gave”. We have been truly blessed!
What do you do at Envirocon?
My title is “Office Assistant” and I am taking some of the work load off the front office staff. Envirocon is growing by leaps and bounds and so has the job responsibilities! So anything that I can do, from answering the phones to working on the assembly line, that’s what I do, and I love it!
If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life what would it be?
I think I would have to say Grease. It’s light and fun, it’s about great times and lots of wonderful music! It would keep my spirit up. Besides, one could never get tired of watching John Travolta or Olivia Newton John!
What is your favorite Lemi Shine alternate use?
Cleaning burnt on coffee out of coffee decanters! When you think it won’t ever be the same, sprinkle about a teaspoon of Lemi Shine Original in bottom of decanter, add enough water to cover the bottom and swish it around until it dissolves and let soak for a little while. It’s truly amazing!
