As you can imagine, we couldn't believe it when on the very first run of the new dishwasher, the whole load came out exactly as before. I immediately called my installer and told him I thought he must have made a mistake in the installation. I told him our new dishwasher connections must be crossed because we seemed to be having a "backflow" of the dirty rinse water! During his service call, he explained that we had hard water. That led us down the path of researching "water softeners". But, at a cost of $3000, not to mention the negative heath effects, we decided it might be better to go back to hand washing.

Still, not one to give up too easily, I set out to find a product that would work. I carefully read the labels on every major brand of dishwasher cleaners. I tried liquid, powder, and gel packs paired with various rinses. Nothing had the desired effect. In fact, there was no difference at all! Talk about grandiose product claims!

Then, my lucky day arrived. I happened to be in a big box store, you know, the the largest retailer in the USA. As always, I checked the kitchen cleaning aisle just in case I could find something new to resolve my dishwasher problem.

Now folks, this is truly a moment for the trumpets to blare and a halo of light to focus on the single, lonely bottle of Lemi-Shine I spied sitting on the bottom shelf. "Hmm, what is this?", I asked myself. I read the label carefully. Having tried every product available, I was struck by the specific mention of hard water under the product title--Lemi-Shine: The Hard Water Expert. I tossed it in my cart with little hope that it would be any different from the others. Still, I had to know.

Well, as they say, you know the rest of the story. Not only did all my glasses, dishes, and silverware come out sparkling clean, my stainless steel dishwasher interior sparkled like new! I have been a convert ever since.

I should say that I have gone back several times to the same store to buy more Lemi-Shine to no avail. That is really a loss--for the store. Since I haven't been able to find Lemi-Shine locally, I set out to scour the internet to find a regular supplier.

For the second time, I lucked out by finding the Envirocon website! What good fortune that they actually have an online store. I promptly ordered a case plus! Never again will I be without my Lemi-Shine! Can't wait to try it on the coffee pot!
